In life you come across people who really inspire you and make a difference in your experience. Herman Cain is one of the people I respect and admire. He lives a life of purpose and passion that inspires people to become more than they are.
In 1996 I was given a video of a Herman Cain presentation to a large gathering of Walmart managers. The message was dynamic. Not only was it filled with powerf
ul management principle, but they were life principles. That video made the rounds and traveled from Indiana to Minnesota. I made copy after copy and showed it to our agency, my church board and I even received a call from one of our Regional Vice Presidents in Minnesota asking if he could have a copy. It wasn't a retail video so I didn't consider whether there were any copyright implications. It was just good stuff.
Eight years later I introduced myself to Mr. Cain while he was making the rounds to garner support for his bid for the United States Senate. There was no doubt in my mind who I would support and work for. What I found from my experiences with volunteering for Herman Cain was the fact that he actually lives what he believes and taught.
So here we are in 2010 and sights are set on an objective that is larger than most people can conceive. That is the presidency. My hope is that America will see just what a jewel and an asset it has in Herman Cain and that he will take the helm in 2013!
